Fate had never crafted a more devious plot than when, in a dark and dingy rehearsal space, three musical paths were fused to become the monster that is All Parallels. Ever since that ominous day in the fall of 2001, the landscape of rock‘n’roll has been under siege, with All Parallels providing the sound track.
Stripped down to the bare essentials of vocals, guitars, and drums, the sound they brandish is raw and untouchable. Their combination of arena rock riffs and thought-provoking lyrics speak volumes, but it is their interpretation of melody and songwriting that puts them in a class of their own. Playing stages up and down the Northeast in support of their new five song EP, “You Won’t Feel A Thing,” All Parallels unleashes their unique sound to the world.
Growing up and playing in numerous bands together in the New York and New Jersey scenes, Adam, Larry, and Anthony always had a mutual respect for each other’s unique gift. However, by the late 1990’s, the three found themselves disconnected from each other. Adam was attending Boston’s famed Berklee College of Music, Anthony was drumming for several bands in Los Angeles, and Larry served as bassist for the New Jersey hardcore band Train of Thought. By early 2000, the three musicians found themselves at a crossroads, dissatisfied with where they were musically. A phone call from Larry to Adam rekindled the flame that would soon become All Parallels. The two discussed writing songs together again, occasionally even playing some new ideas over the phone. Larry and Adam also knew that in order to complete this musical blueprint, they needed drummer Anthony Amodeo. It was not long after hearing Adam and Larry’s demos that Anthony relocated and joined the band. Soon enough, what was once thought to be inconceivable, coalesced into All Parallels.
In early 2002, All Parallels entered Boston’s New Alliance Studios to record their debut self-titled EP. Having formed only five months earlier, the band was well-prepared and completed the recording in two days. People were instantly drawn to All Parallels after hearing such distinctive tracks as “Day Like This” and “Hypothermiamor”. With their constant writing and abundance of material, All Parallels found themselves once again in New Alliance Studios in September 2002, recording their second EP entitled, “You Won’t Feel A Thing”. Their newest effort, demonstrates many of the different musical identities of All Parallels. From the blistering opener, “Marrow”, to the tongue-in-cheek, “Load A Gun and Kill Me”, and the punk rock driven, “That’ll Never Be Me”, this is only the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come from All Parallels.
Based on hard work and a powerful, unpredictable live show, All Parallels is on a mission to bring their unrivaled sound and performance to the masses. Larry Chiswick’s explosive on-stage antics, combined with Kestler’s visceral guitar work, and Amodeo’s “Keith Moon-esque” stage presence leaves each crowd hungry for more.
Much of the music world has long been waiting in vain for a savior of rock‘n’roll to emerge and rescue it from the depths of mediocrity. All Parallels is not the savior of rock’n’roll… they have merely come to destroy it, rebuild it, and claim it as their own.Read More
